For all ramen lovers out there, there is a hidden gem in the streets of Yokohama, Japan’s second most populous city. The Shinyokohama Ramen Museum (新横浜ラーメン博物館) is just what it sounds like, a museum dedicated to ramen! In addition to going over the history of ramen, the ramen museum has a “taste” section where you can explore the different ramen-cooking styles across the country. And of course, there are many delicious samples to try. You can either buy a full bowl of ramen or a smaller “sample” bowl that costs less and still leaves room in your belly to try the other styles as well! The exhibits and the food areas in the museum are an interactive exhibit meant to look like Tokyo from 1958, when instant ramen was invented. It’s a delicious museum and highly recommended!
